We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process the payroll of approximately 500- 600 employees across various departments.Requirements:
Matric certificate (essential). Diploma or degree in Payroll Administration, HR, Finance, or related field (advantageous). 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably with large staff complements. Proficiency in payroll software Sage 300 (not negotiable) Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and labour regulations. Experience in cross-border payroll (advantageous). Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 500-600 employees monthly. Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, UIF, SDL, PAYE, and other statutory requirements. Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update payroll systems with new hires, terminations, and changes, including employee contracts. Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with company policies. Prepare and distribute payslips, reconcile payroll reports, and ensure timely salary payments. Process employee benefits, including provident fund, and leave accruals. Reconcile third-party payments and submit EMP201 and EMP501 declarations. Assist with audits and prepare payroll reports as required. Provide support and resolve payroll-related queries from employees. Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure continuous compliance.
