Sales Representative
Location: Northriding, Johannesburg
Salary: R15k – R17k per month
About the Role:
We represent an international outdoor clothing brand. The primary purpose of this role is to drive revenue growth by taking initiative and expanding our client base within the clothing wholesale and retail sectors in South Africa. As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our products and services, arranging and attending exhibitions and events, nurturing client relationships, while staying informed about industry trends and contributing to the company's overall success and revenue growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Previous experience in a similar role in the wholesale clothing industry will be advantageous.
A driver’s license and a reliable car. (This role will include travel)
4 - 5 years’ experience in sales with a proven track record with a strong emphasis on client acquisition and growth.
Experience in managing client/supplier relationships
Excellent communication, problem-solving, organisational ability and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven and motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Familiarity with the wholesale clothing market.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
Ability to work under pressure
Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments
Proven verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and execute strategies for entering new retail and wholesale channels, as well as expanding the company's client base within South Africa.
Set clear goals for capturing market share in various retailers and wholesalers, and work towards achieving them.
Establish open lines of communication with potential clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Provide exceptional customer service to foster trust and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients.
Implement strategies to retain existing clients and encourage repeat business and growth.
Provide necessary training and support to clients to help their staff effectively sell our products.
Arranging and attending exhibitions, events, and expos to promote, sell and create exposure for our brand and products. These events will require travel throughout South Africa and will involve working on occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
Identify and qualify potential leads to create repeat sales.
Provide regular updates and reports to the team regarding the status of the sales pipeline.
