Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience within the retail industry is advantageous. Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management. Strong knowledge of HR best practices and key labour laws (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, OHSA, COID, POPI, PAIA Acts, CCMA). Ability to balance leading and executing; hands-on involvement in daily HR routines. Results-driven, people-oriented mindset. Excellent listening, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy. Manage recruitment and selection processes to hire candidates who fit the companys culture and values. Oversee performance appraisal systems to drive high performance. Review and update HR policies and procedures as needed. Act as a trusted advisor on HR-related issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures (including CCMA representation). Identify training and development needs, and design programmes to enhance employee skills. Coordinate training sessions on compliance, health & safety, and leadership development. Ensure statutory compliance, including EE and Skills Submissions. Work closely with other HR Managers to continuously improve HR processes and policies.
