Responsibilities: Professionally and calmly interact with suppliers and travel planners via phone and email. Creatively plan and design unique, tailor-made itineraries. Handle reservation requests received telephonically or via email. Manage reservations from quoting to finalization, including invoicing and travel documentation. Deliver exceptional service to direct guests. Proactively promote and sell travel products and services to ensure optimal safari experiences. Participate on Saturday and public holiday duties, as well as cell phone standby on a rotation basis. Work shifts on a rotational schedule (07:00 15:30 and 09:30 18:00) Provide backup support for team members when necessary. Continually expand product knowledge through ongoing training. Demonstrate a proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented mindset. Uphold the companys core values: care for people, care for the land, and care for wildlife.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in a reservations role, preferably within a tour operating environment (not hotel or car rental-based) Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Strong destination knowledge of key markets: Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles. Sound understanding of FIT and group travel policies and procedures. Familiarity with relevant Safari Offers. Experience using Tour plan reservations system (advantageous) Customer-focused with a creative, flexible, and patient approach. Passion for the travel industry and guest service excellence.
