Description:
Responsibilities:- Support project managers in the financial management of projects, including:
- Reviewing project contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Setting up and maintaining projects on the ERP system.
- Managing WIP and processing invoices along with preparing supporting schedules for client submission.
- Following up on outstanding accounts.
- Assisting project manager with fee projection budgeting.
- Managing project creditors, including processing of supplier invoices and preparing supplier reconciliations.
- Addressing any financial queries related to the projects.
- Discussing project reports including the profitability reports with the relevant project manager.
- Preparing project reconciliations.
- Assist Finance with other tasks as required (i.e. credit card processing and reconciliations, pettycash, etc).
- Assist the Business Unit Manager in managing financial functions by reviewing monthly financial reports (including invoicing, WIP, planner, profitability, debtors etc) to identify any concerns and improvements and support the manager with any financial enquiries related to the Business Unit.
- Assist with external and internal audits (where required).
- Keep up-to-date with understanding of all systems and internal processes.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidate must have a BCom Accounting or similar field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting
- Advanced level of MS Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
