Our company, located in Pretoria, is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Architectural Technologists to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for the projects assigned and must possess a minimum of six years of experience working on public sector projects, where they have effectively led professional team in a Principal Agency role
Technologist Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:
- Lead the design process, ensuring the creation of innovative, functional, and sustainable solutions.
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and architectural plans that align with client needs and project goals.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.
- Project Planning and Management:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from design development to construction completion.
- Manage schedules, budgets, resources and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers and specialised consultants to maintain alignment on project goals.
- Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including drawings and specifications

General Responsibilities
- Leadership and Vision:
- Provide overarching leadership and vision, ensuring alignment between architectural design, construction execution, and client goals.
- Ensure that all projects in the portfolio uphold the organization’s standards and values.
- Construction Site Oversight:
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure the progress of construction aligns with design expectations and contract terms.
- Ensure that contractors are adhering to the schedule, budget, and quality standards as stipulated in the contract.
- Address site issues such as delays, unforeseen challenges, and contractor performance.
We require an individual who is open to travel and relocation. The ideal applicant should meet the following qualifications and experience
- Relevant architecture qualifications
- Valid registration with SACAP as a PrSAT
- Capability to work under pressure
- Strong collaborative and team-oriented skills
- Proficient in project reporting and workload management
- Excellent communication abilities
- Expertise in CAD design, rendering, and 3D modeling
- Experience in managing design teams, sub-consultants, stakeholders, and contractors
- Exceptional planning and coordination skills
- Proven experience on public sector projects, specifically in healthcare and educational facilities, from inception to closeout
- Proficient Principal Agency skills
- A valid driver’s license
- own vehicle
