Description:

Our client, a leading company in the mining sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in mining operations, eager to contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems in mining operations.
  • Ensure compliance with mining regulations and industry standards for electrical and control systems.
  • Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Develop and review engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Oversee commissioning, calibration, and testing of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize plant performance and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain automation and SCADA systems for process control.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 3+years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within the mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and process control systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Experience with field instrumentation, sensors, and actuators in a mining environment.
  • Familiarity with mining safety regulations and standards.
