Description:
Requirements:Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA), essential. Plus 3 years experience in financial administration, in a Retail or FMCG environment. Strong understanding of financial principles and practices. Proficient in Accounting software and MS Office (Excel).
Skills and Competencies:
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Key Performance Areas:
Perform bank reconciliations. Import bank statements and ensure accurate posting of all transactions. Process debtor orders and allocate payments and deposits. Prepare and submit VAT calculations and schedules. Ensure accurate accounting for all transactions. Monitor and manage cash flow, allocate funds to various departments. Manage and update the fixed asset register. Analyse and capture closing stock for all stores, investigate discrepancies and update tracker reports. Process journals (monthly, quarterly and yearly entries). Reconcile intercompany transactions. Invoice out intercompany transactions, management fees and other income. Obtain bi-annual stock results and prepare the stock-take results schedule. Review various reports (sales, debtors, insurance, etc.). Complete CIPC annual return and assist with claims processing. Assist with the budget process, including preparation, analysis and importing of budgets. Review and authorise income statements on a monthly basis and resolve any queries. Review and authorise sundry recons for payment. Review and authorise payments as and when required. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly management, exec and board reports. Assist with external audit requirements and authorise EFT payments. Oversee and provide guidance to junior staff members.
