Duties:

• Assist with external audits and company-related taxes (VAT, income tax, customs)
• Manage treasury, forex responsibilities, and foreign exchange risk
• Compile ad-hoc financial information, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review departmental income statement expenses, resolve variances, and ensure corporate governance
• Manage provisions, accruals, journal entries, and Stat SA reports
• Ensure accurate local reporting and compliance with IFRS for SMEs
• Prepare daily cash reports, update FX rates, and reevaluate foreign creditors, debtors, and bank accounts
• Oversee petty cash management and accounting
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with tax pack preparation
• Assist with audit file preparation, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Capture foreign invoices, prepare payment reconciliations, and maintain foreign creditors master file
• Maintain fixed assets and tax asset registers, and calculate depreciation and wear and tear for assets

Qualifications & Experience:
B Com Degree in accounting (Minimum)
3 years or more relevant experience
IFRS knowledge would be beneficial
Tax Act (Vat, tax & customs)
Excel Advance
