A well-established beachfront venue in Yzerfontein is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Front of House Manager/Receptionist to oversee front desk operations and accommodation management. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless guest experiences, from reservations to check-out, while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and financial transactions.
  • Ensure common areas and guest accommodations are clean and well-maintained.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to uphold service standards.
  • Prepare daily reports and analyze trends to improve operations.
  • Manage inventory of office and guest supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Uphold front office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure the reception area is always organized and welcoming.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of NightsBridge Property Management System is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
