About the Role:The Group Tax Manager will assist in managing the Group’s tax affairs, ensuring compliance with legislation and supporting strategic tax planning. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable professional with strong business acumen, as the Group operates across diverse sectors, including financial services, insurance, and motor retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax compliance and engage with SARS on audits, queries, and timely submissions.
- Monitor and apply changes in tax legislation to the Group’s operations.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review tax calculations, financial statement disclosures, and Board reports.
- Drive process automation and improvements in tax-related workflows.
- Provide expert tax advice, support audits, and contribute to tax-driven business strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team.
What You’ll Need:
â BCom Honours in Accounting or Registered CA(SA)
â 5+ years of corporate tax experience (essential)
â Strong knowledge of tax law, IFRS, and advanced Excel
â Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, or Banking (advantageous)
