A position is available for an experienced Assistant Manager in our Seafood restaurant in the V&A Waterfront .As the Restaurant Manager you will report directly to the GM. You will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable experience. Effective supervision, performance management and delegation to various staff to ensure an efficient and smooth-running restaurant.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service delivery
· Opening and closing of restaurant and cashing up
· Stock management
· Manage & record wastage
· Daily administrative requirements
· The ability to connect with locals and create a loyal customer base
· Supervising and training staff to maintain restaurant standards and guest satisfaction
· The ability to get the best out of your team
· Collaborating with BOH to ensure excellent service delivery
· Addressing customer concerns promptly to maintain positive guest relations
· Ensure that store hygiene, maintenance, health and safety requirements are met
· Ensure effective communication between staff as well as management
· Manage bookings and co-ordinate bookings
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· 2-5 years in a similar role
- Proficient in PILOT back office
- Own transport
· Experience in dealing with high volume and fast-paced restaurant
· Strong Leadership ability
· Ability to delegate and manage down effectively
· Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
· High attention to detail and process driven
· Self-motivated and deadline oriented
· Ability to multi-task
· Discretion and integrity
· Stress tolerance
· Decision-making
· This person will be handling cash and finances, therefore trust and honesty is vital
