Description:
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining personnel during assigned shifts to achieve production goals. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of production, personnel, and safety incidents. Provide training and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational efficiency and address any issues that may arise. Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
National Diploma in Mining Engineering or any supervisory related qualifications backed by relevant experience in the field. Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within the coal mining industry. Comprehensive knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and safety regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Proficiency in the use of computers. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
