Are you a seasoned operational risk expert with a proven track record in managing large-scale financial institutions? A leading bank in Kenya is seeking a Group Director, Operational Risk to lead the execution of its Group operational risk framework and drive a robust risk culture across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the roll-out and execution of the operational risk framework across the bank. Oversee a high-performing team, fostering a culture of proactive risk management. Provide critical insights and reports to the Risk Management Committee and senior leadership. Ensure operational risks are effectively managed through clear, actionable performance dashboards. Develop and implement risk strategies at the Group level to enhance business continuity and resilience.
Key Requirements:
1015 years of experience in risk operations, compliance, or financial risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong expertise in regulatory frameworks, operational risk management, and corporate governance. Proven ability to develop and implement risk strategies at the group level. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and inspire.
