Our client located in Pinetown is looking for a Service Advisor to join their team.Job Description:
Greet customers and assist with their queries. Open Estimates and Job Cards for work to be performed. Ensure the Estimate is sent to the client via email and follow up with a phone call to receive confirmation within 1 hour of booking or truck arrival. Consult with mechanics, foreman, or technical advisors regarding necessary repairs and explore cost-effective alternatives. Inform clients of available campaigns for their vehicle and upsell hours for those campaigns. Check vehicle warranty status, service plan, and maintenance plan details to determine coverage, and inform the client of any additional charges if not covered. Communicate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts. Obtain order numbers and provide the go-ahead to the foreman and technicians. Provide clients with regular updates every 4 hours regarding the status of their vehicles and prepare the job cards for invoicing prior to vehicle release. Explain the completed work to the client before vehicle collection and confirm if all work is covered, or if there is any additional required work. Control the daily workshop workflow sheet and distribute it by the end of the business day. Oversee the Workshop Efficiency report, tracking hours allocated versus worked. Manage the gate pass book and ensure adherence to company policies regarding vehicle movements, i.e., no vehicle leaves without payment. Manage and oversee the dealerships workflow and schedule between departments. Contact customers to inform them of service changes or vehicle pick-up times. Maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Send payment Proof of Accounts and ensure that the debtors list is updated accordingly. Minimum Requirements:
Matric certificate Relevant training or qualifications as a Service Advisor or in a similar role Code 8 driver's license Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role Strong administrative skills and follow-up reliability Proactive and confident approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and requirements Strong documentation and organizational skills Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry Proficient in MS Excel, Evolve Ability to handle 20-25 job cards daily Maintain a maximum open WIP of 25 job cards
