N6/B Tech (in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. The Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Factories ticket – non-negotiable Red Seal Trade Test qualification as a Millwright/Electrician/ Mechatronics Technician. Supervisory Management or any Management Certificate/Qualification will be advantageous. 5-10 years of plant maintenance experience. 5 years’ experience in a lead supervisory/managerial role in the FMCG/Manufacturing Industry.DUTIES:
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for maintenance of the plant including repair and installation of all electronic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment. Establish schedules and methods for providing maintenance and repair services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly. Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures. Schedule Day-to-Day work for all maintenance technicians. Ensure Schedule monthly Preventative Maintenance plans. Assign all repair work. Regularly Inspecting the facility. Operations, services, and activities of a comprehensive plant maintenance program. Equipment vendors and sources of spare parts and replacement equipment. Methods and techniques of troubleshooting, repairing, and installing plant equipment. Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation. Modern and complex principles and practices of equipment and materials purchasing. OSHA rules and regulations. Electrical codes and accepted practices. Methods and techniques of stick, carbon arc, mig and tig welding. Programmable logic controls, co-processors and smart relays. Methods and techniques of handling and transporting hazardous waste, chemicals and gases. Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications. Local laws & By-laws, codes, and regulations.
