1. Sales & Client Acquisition

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the steel fabrication sector.

Develop and maintain relationships with construction companies, contractors, engineers, and project managers.

Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
2. Product Knowledge & Consultation
-
Understand KWP Steel’s full range of steel products, fabrication capabilities, and services.
-
Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on client needs.
-
Liaise with the technical and production teams to ensure feasibility and pricing accuracy.
3. Quoting & Pricing
-
Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales within approved margins.
-
Ensure accurate costing of fabrication projects by working closely with estimators.
4. Sales Administration
-
Maintain records of client interactions, quotations, and contracts using CRM tools.
-
Follow up on leads, monitor project progress, and provide after-sales service.
5. Market Intelligence
-
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
-
Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product performance, and potential improvements.
6. Site Visits & Inspections
-
Visit client sites to assess requirements, take measurements, and discuss specifications.
-
Attend project meetings to represent KWP Steel in commercial and technical discussions.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
-
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
-
Proven track record (3–5+ years) in sales within the steel, construction, or engineering industry.
-
Strong knowledge of steel products and fabrication processes.
Preferred:
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
-
Familiarity with CAD drawings and technical specifications.
