Description:

1. Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the steel fabrication sector.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with construction companies, contractors, engineers, and project managers.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.

2. Product Knowledge & Consultation

  • Understand KWP Steel’s full range of steel products, fabrication capabilities, and services.

  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on client needs.

  • Liaise with the technical and production teams to ensure feasibility and pricing accuracy.

3. Quoting & Pricing

  • Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales within approved margins.

  • Ensure accurate costing of fabrication projects by working closely with estimators.

4. Sales Administration

  • Maintain records of client interactions, quotations, and contracts using CRM tools.

  • Follow up on leads, monitor project progress, and provide after-sales service.

5. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.

  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product performance, and potential improvements.

6. Site Visits & Inspections

  • Visit client sites to assess requirements, take measurements, and discuss specifications.

  • Attend project meetings to represent KWP Steel in commercial and technical discussions.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

  • Proven track record (3–5+ years) in sales within the steel, construction, or engineering industry.

  • Strong knowledge of steel products and fabrication processes.

Preferred:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and technical specifications.

  • Willingness to travel locally (Gauteng and surrounding areas).

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and target-driven.

Skills:
