Description:

Duties:

  • Sales:
    • Handle inbound customer inquiries
    • Provide product information and pricing
    • Prepare and follow up on quotations to convert leads into sales
  • Support the external sales team by:
    • Managing customer orders
    • Confirming delivery details, and
    • Maintaining client communications
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with regular clients
  • Promote products and services to walk-in and telephonic clients
  • Processing of:
    • Sales orders
    • Invoices
    • Delivery notes
    • Quotations timeously
  • Maintain up-to-date records of:
    • Inventory
    • Client accounts, and
    • Price lists
  • Manage internal filing systems (digital and paper-based)
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules with the warehouse and transport teams
  • Stock management:
    • Monitor and manage stock levels
    • Ensuring accurate inventory records and timely re-ordering
    • Regular stock taking
    • Reconcile stock discrepancies
    • Assist in preparing reports for sales performance, stock levels, and customer trends

  • Industry experience in wholesale, building materials, or specifically glass products
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel, and POS systems (ERP etc)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have own reliable transport (essential)
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Must have contactable references

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • At least 2 years in an administrative or internal sales role
  • Industry experience in wholesale, building materials, or specifically glass products
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel, and POS systems (ERP etc)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have own reliable transport (essential)
