Key Accountabilities and Outputs Responsible for Process control and efficiencies Operate the packaging line equipment and processes to produce packaged products cost-effectively and safely in accordance with agreed line performance and quality conformance standards, while meeting agreed production scheduals. Proactively apply their technical, process control, continuous improvement and team development skills to optimize overall line improvement and performance. Carry out scheduled first-line maintenance (clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten) in their process area and support maintenance with breakdown tasks and routine maintenance on machinery.make minor adjustments to the machine and replace basic components to maintain line efficiencies and quality standards.Perform defined quality checks for designated process area, monitor and evaluate trends, and initiate corrective actionwhen required. Achieve set factory waste reduction and efficiency targets. Perform shift handovers regarding the machinery (breakdowns, products run) To check the quality of incoming raw materials used in production and also the end product according to the quality control policy. This includes a constant interaction with the Quality Controller. Conduct problem-solving analyses and assist with fault finding by supplying relevant factual information relating to the breakdown scenario. Select all inputs on the Human Machine Interface (HMI) at the start of the shift and when ever there is a product change Capture all downtime by machine Prepare the machines and equipment for planned maintenance and assist artisans with their planned maintenance Involve Production Shift Supervisor whenever OEE goes into the red-zone.
