Head of Tourism

Candidate requirements;

• Background in lodge, guesthouse, or eco-tourism management.
• Experience coordinating immersive travel, community-based tourism, or volunteer programmes.
• Exposure to nonprofit, or social enterprise environments, especially where tourism meets impact).
• Proven ability to manage bookings, guest experiences, and team oversight.
• Strong organisational and people-management skills.
• Tech-savvy: comfortable with booking systems (like Nightsbridge), Google Drive, and Canva.
• Confident communicator with cross-cultural awareness.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to multitask across operations, marketing, and partnerships.
• Committed to responsible, ethical tourism and social impact.

  • Oversee accommodation operations, including guest services, team coordination, and managing all bookings for guests, groups, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate meaningful impact experiences and immersive tours in collaboration with tourism partners and programme managers.
  • Develop and manage retail offerings that showcase locally made, sustainable products through SEDIWA (Sustainable Enterprise Development in Wildlife Areas.
  • Drive occupancy and revenue growth through proactive marketing, outreach, and tourism partnerships.
  • Represent the organisation at tourism expos, networking events, and industry engagements.
  • Support day-to-day office functions.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure tourism and hospitality align with broader impact goals.
