Our client located in Edgemead, Cape Town is currently looking for a WordPress Support Specialist to join their fast growing team! This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of WordPress who can manage the day-to-day updates and maintenance of our clients websites. Youll work closely with our team and clients to ensure websites remain functional, secure, and up-to-date.About the company:
They provide comprehensive IT and digital services, including hosting, Office 365, VOIP, networking, hardware/software sales, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and support. They also offer design, branding, web development, SEO, and Google Apps integration, with expertise across both PC and Apple platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular content updates, plugin/theme updates, and backups on client WordPress websites. Troubleshoot and resolve basic website issues (e.g., broken links, formatting errors, plugin conflicts). Install, configure, and manage WordPress plugins and themes. Monitor website performance and uptime. Ensure websites are secure and follow best practices for WordPress maintenance. Collaborate with designers and developers to implement minor layout or styling changes. Provide basic client support and respond to WordPress-related queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Basic to intermediate experience with WordPress CMS. Familiarity with WordPress plugins, themes, and the WordPress dashboard. Understanding of HTML and CSS for minor styling adjustments. Ability to use page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg. Basic knowledge of website security, backups, and performance optimization. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes. Good communication skills and a client-focused mindset Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus): Experience with cPanel, FTP, or hosting environments. Familiarity with SEO basics and tools like Yoast SEO. Knowledge of JavaScript or PHP (basic level). Experience using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana). Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility Remuneration:
