Description:
PAYROLL/HR ASSISTANT – STELLENBOSCH/WESTERN CAPE - You will have an understanding of legislation and roles in areas such as tax payments and exemptions. You will be expected to ensure that employees are paid on the right date and receive the correct salary. You will provide assistance to the HR Team Leader
You are also expected to do general administrative work such as filing, scanning, opening of staff personal folders, emails and taking calls, and carry out any other adhoc duties as required by Management
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• Any payroll qualification/courses beneficial
• Min. 2 years’ experience in payroll
• VIP Knowledge or any other software beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing all payroll functions for delegated payrolls
- Processing Weekly Wages & Casual wages if required.
- Process timesheets and ensure accurate and timely running of payroll
- Ensure Accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates and status changes.
- Statutory payments monthly and yearly (SARS, 3rd Party payments, adhoc payments)
o Group Life & Funeral, Te Credit, Garnishee, Rentals, Medical Aid, UIF.
- Submit monthly reports to Management and 3rd parties
- Handle wage and payroll queries
- Distribute Payslips- Via email, print for Blue collard staff members.
- Processing of leave forms and sending out reports to Managers
- Manage study leave and bursaries
- Manage staff leave
- Manage death claims with RP Assurance
- Submit statutory submissions mid-year and yearly (EMP 501, Workman’s Comp, Employment Equity & SDL)
- Reconciling of Cashbooks
- Monthly journals and recons
- Assisting with the compilation of incentive/bonus and increase schedules and implement on VIP
- Assist in OPSCO pack preparation
- Save Monthly reports and Backups for payrolls
- Ensure all payroll documents are received timeously in order to meet the payroll deadline
Salary – R20 – R25k (negotiable)
