A unique opportunity has opened up for an experienced Credit Underwriting Manager to join a forward-thinking team operating at the heart of global trade.In this role, youll take ownership of credit risk evaluations across a diverse portfolio of counter-parties in international markets. Your expertise will support structured trade, commodity, and export finance transactions, ensuring sound credit decisions that align with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth credit risk assessments for new and existing counter-parties.
- Collaborate with commercial, legal, and finance teams to structure robust transactions.
- Develop and present detailed credit proposals for senior risk and business committees.
- Monitor credit exposures, proactively identifying and mitigating emerging risks.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and geopolitical developments that may impact credit risk.
What Were Looking For:
- A Degree in finance, economics, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CFA, and FRM) is advantageous.
- Substantial experience in credit underwriting or credit risk analysis, particularly within the trade or commodities sector.
- A track record of working on complex financing structures and cross-border deals.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to present clear, well-reasoned recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
