Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Dispatch In Supervisor (Night Shift) to join the team.Experience & Qualification:
Essential:
- Matric – Grade 12 or Senior Certificate
- Transport Management or Supply-Chain / Logistics Degree or Diploma
- 2 years relevant experience in a Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment
- Computer Literacy - MS Office
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth operation of within the dispatch in department following the FIFO concept.
- Understand and execute the planning process involved when stock is handed over to dispatch out team for delivery.
- Monitoring the performants for increased efficiency and maintaining with dispatch clerks. Dispatch controller and dispatch packers’ targets.
- Arrange strategic daily planning and organizing/assigning staff within dispatch to archive company/dispatch objectives.
- Ensure daily checking’s of all delivery log sheets for schedule 6, fridge lines and all pallets built if they’re accurate and matching between the pallet and DLS.
- Monitoring SLA of old stock and ensure it is kept up to date.
- Ensure the packing of pallets are done correctly and accurately to prevent damages before handed over for delivery.
- Manage dispatch IN process flow from conveyor to the printing of Delivery log Sheets to Dischem standard and operational requirements.
- Supervising all outsourced and permanent employees including training and making sure they have necessary tools and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.
- Manage the productivity of production within the department, follow up and control daily absence and overtime.
- Ensure daily stock is loaded on the sorter and maintenance related issues are resolved/reported to prevent delays.

- Be able to communicate proactively in order to build co-operative relationships.
- Trustworthy and Honest.
- Be able to identify operational obstacles and opportunities and remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Time management, deadline driven and attention to detail.
