Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Johannesburg. This role will report to the Projects Department Manager. Responsibilities:- Install, maintain and repair electrical and automation systems for the greenhouse projects.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues and ensure there is optimal performance of the system.
- Commission, calibrate and test the new systems.
- Maintain documentation for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with the other engineers and project manager to resolve any issues.
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Matric certificate.
- 3+ years in a similar role.
- Three-phase wiremanâs license.
- Experience with control systems, PLCâs or VFDâs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Must have good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to multitask.
- Willing to travel within South Africa and Africa.
- Drivers license.
- Problem solving and organizational skills.
- Computer literate.
