Description:
The employee’s primary function is the maintenance of equipment at the company’s production facility and customer sites in line with the company’s Health and Safety protocols. This will include but not limited to performing the day-to-day activities and all aspects that are required in the maintenance department. The job scope will include project work for new customer sites.
Planning and Administration
-Ensure all control documents are completed and submitted timeously.
-Daily submission of job cards and vehicle inspections.
-Weekly submission of time sheets.
-Customers sign off of completed site work (emergencies and routine maintenance).
Service and Maintenance
-Installation, fault finding and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as
-Regulators
-Heat exchangers
-Actuated ball valves
-Non return valves
-Hydraulic hoses
-Couplings and drive gear
-Flow meters
-Safety valves
-Pumps
-Compressors
-Gas generators
Installation, fault finding and maintenance on electrical systems and infrastructure such as
-Alternators
-Motors, single-phase and three-phase
-Switch gear low voltage
-Fuses
-Lights
-Socket outlets
-Inverters/ ups on low voltage and extra low voltage control panels
• Understand and read PLC programs for fault finding and diagnostic on instrumentation to the system.
Installation, fault finding and maintenance on instrumentation such as
-Pressure transducers
-Thermocouple’s
-Water and oil level sensors
-Gas Detectors
-Vibration Sensors
-Flowmeters
-PLC panels
•Make use of provided software to fault find, diagnose and setup equipment such as, Power analyzer, Ultrasonic flow meters, Corrector units, DSE deep sea controllers, Ewon, etc.
• Commissioning of new customer installations.
Training
Conduct on the job training for technicians and junior technicians.
• Customer training during commissioning of new installations.
General
Maintain a neat and organized work environment.
• Conduct any other reasonable request by management from time to time.
• Conduct weekly meter readings and monthly stock take.
• Maintain spares stock in the vehicle.
• Keep the company’s equipment in good working conditions.
Qualifications Experience/Requirements
• Trade tested Millwright
-Minimum of 5 years working as a Millwright.
• SAGA Gas Practitioner license would be advantageous.
• SACGA Gas Practitioner license would be advantageous.
• Must have pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, regulators, power generation, electrical in hazardous areas, instrumentation, mechanical and PLC
