Hire Resolve's client , a forward-thinking project engineering company specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering solutions, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Gqeberha. With operations extending across the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Gauteng, this company is known for delivering innovative, high-quality engineering services tailored to a variety of industry sectors.
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence across South Africa.
Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.

Manage and update CRM systems to ensure accurate customer data and engagement tracking.

Implement business development strategies aligned with marketing and corporate goals.

Build and maintain strong client relationships and proactively secure Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
-
Convert high-priority tenders into confirmed sales through strategic bid management and client follow-up.
-
Coordinate marketing material development and contribute to brand positioning efforts.

Ensure effective internal communication and regular reporting to company directors.
-
Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media and digital publications.

Travel as necessary to meet clients, attend industry events, and support sales efforts.
Requirements

A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.

Minimum 5 years of B2B sales and marketing experience within the engineering sector.

Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Good technical understanding of engineering principles paired with business acumen.

Resilient, adaptable, and goal-driven with a customer-centric mindset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
