Scope/Span of Control
- To report directly to the Senior SHEQ Officer.
- Internal communication at all levels up to HOD level and maintain good inter departmental relationships.

Key functions, responsibilities, and duties
- Arrange regular meetings with Health and Safety representatives. Ensure policies are adhered to. Ensure training is adequate and up to date.
- Issue of Personal Protective Equipment to employees and record onto system
- Register injury onto Department of Labour online system.
- Upload all relevant documentation onto mySHEQ system.
- Follow up on nonconformance raised and communicate where due dates have been exceeded or are close to lapsing.
- Ensue that actions and tasks assigned on mySHEQ and or verbally given by HoD or Senior SHEQ officer are adhered to within a reasonable timeframe.
- Obtain a quote and book training for relevant employees as per training matrix.
- Ensure that mySHEQ system is updated with all inspection, audits and other relevant requirements as per PABT procedures.
- Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
- Ensure new employees are inducted on health and safety regulations.
- To ensure Health and Safety procedures / policies are communicated and maintained on the mySHEQ System.
- Order of Personal Protective Equipment and conduct stock count of Personal Protective Equipment to ensure enough (PPE) is always available.
- Assist, co-ordination, management of processes and implementation of one or more specific areas of the quality assurance system.
- Management of early and expired warning on equipment on mySHEQ system.
- Use of mySHEQ to search for employee details where necessary / as requested.
- Ensuring evidence of compliance with appropriate SHEQ systems is maintained.
- Assist with facilitating & co-ordinate external customer audits.
- Control internal audits & audit schedules.
- Record minutes of SHEQ Meetings.
- Safety administration and accurate feedback to Senior SHEQ officer and Management within set timeframes.
- Arrange medicals, hygiene surveys and any evaluation required by legal parameters.

Qualification Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of relevant SHEQ regulations and standards is a plus
MUST NOT HAVE COMPETED A YES 4 YOUTH PROGRAMME PREVIOUSLY
