Our client, a reputable shipyard company is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their team in Qatar for a two-year contract.Requirements:
Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience operating steel fabrication machinery in shipyard, construction, or industrial settings. Strong understanding of metal cutting, bending, shaping, and finishing processes. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate steel fabrication machinery such as press brakes, shears, rolling machines, and cutting tools. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. Set up machines, adjust settings, and monitor operations for precision cutting and shaping. Perform quality checks to ensure components meet required specifications. Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines. Work closely with welders, fabricators, and engineers to meet production targets. Follow ISO, HSE, and company safety protocols to maintain a secure workspace. Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or issues.
