The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all pre- and post-blast duties in line with statutory and internal safety and quality standards. From preparing and performing blasts to supervising teams and ensuring accurate reporting, this is a hands-on position with clear responsibility and the chance to make a measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct all preparations, executions, and follow-up actions related to blasts Inspect and complete pre-use checks on transport and equipment Supervise Blasting Assistants and manage accessory inventory Ensure compliance with all legal, safety and environmental protocols Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Drive and deliver housekeeping and site complianceIdeal Candidate Profile:
Grade 12 with Maths Valid Blasting Ticket Permit (PDP) and Magazine Master certificate Minimum 23 years of experience in a mining or explosive environment Solid understanding of blasting techniques and procedures Strong interpersonal skills and a self-motivated work ethic Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and perform physically demanding tasks Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email) advantageous EE Disclaimer:
