LOCATION – CAPE TOWN SALARY: MARKET RELATED WITH MEDICAL AID/PROVIDENT FUND We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Front Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our upmarket restaurant/Deli. This role requires a hands-on, service-focused individual with a flair for premium hospitality, team leadership, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep love for hospitality and customer service to the role. Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality standards.Lead, train, and motivate a team of baristas and service staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example in service delivery, presentation, and hospitality.Manage stock levels, order supplies, and work with suppliers to ensure freshness and quality.Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.Monitor and manage costs, wastage, and labour in line with budget goals.Develop and implement service procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions, events, and community engagement.Handle customer feedback with professionalism and care to uphold the brand’s reputation. Requirements:Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in a premium café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing techniques, and café trends.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to manage and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of stock control, ordering systems, and basic financial reporting.High attention to detail and a passion for quality service.Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and public holidays as needed.
