REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a customs management role. Strong knowledge of road, air, and sea freight regulations. Experience in tariff classifications, duty calculations, and Incoterms. Proficiency in customs systems and clearance software. Shipshape experience is essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Work Environment: Full-time, in-office role with standard business hours (not hybrid).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all customs-related processes for road, air, and sea freight shipments. Ensure compliance with SARS, customs laws, and international trade regulations. Oversee customs declarations, duty calculations, and tariff classifications. Handle bill of entries, customs coordination, and import/export documentation. Manage refunds, drawbacks, and duty recoveries where applicable. Work closely with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and logistics teams. Stay updated on changes in customs laws and Incoterms. Optimize customs processes to reduce delays and costs.
