We are seeking a skilled and creative Salad Chef to join a restaurant team. As a Salad Chef, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, vibrant, and visually appealing salads and cold dishes that delight the restaurant’s guests. Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and Presentation: Prepare a variety of salads, appetisers, and cold dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, of high quality, and properly stored. Plate dishes attractively and consistently to enhance the dining experience. Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team to create new salad and cold dish recipes. Stay updated on food trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into the menu. Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary work station. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all food preparation areas. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff. Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.Experience:
Proven experience as a Salad Chef, Garde Manger, or in a similar role. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail and creativity in food presentation. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.Benefits:
