Start Date: Immediately Benefits: Travel Allowance and Housing (2 Bedroom) About the Role: We are looking for a talented and experienced Accountant to oversee our financial operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring regulatory compli-ance, and day-to-day debtors and creditors management. Education and Qualification • BCom in Accounting or Financial Management. • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in an accounting environment. • Proficiency on Pastel Evolution and Patel Payroll / SAGE 300 People soft-ware. • Completed articles with an accredited audit firm. • Experience in the agriculture sector would be advantageous. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS. • Oversee financial reports for all five group companies. • Ensure the company’s compliance with statutory tax obligations, includ-ing Income Tax (IT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Pay As You Earn (PAYE), and Provincial Tax (Prov. Tax). • Advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take to ensure financial stability and even business growth. • Maintaining the financial health of the organization. • Strong understanding of agriculture sector and operational standards and statutory compliance (e.g. SIZA). Duties • Oversee preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual fi-nancial statements for all entities, ensuring IFRS compliance. • Lead budgeting process for all entities and provide periodic forecasts to senior management. • Ensure tax compliance (VAT, income tax) across all entities, including opti-mization of agricultural tax incentives. • Oversee group-wide cash flow management, ensure liquidity, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. • Develop internal controls, manage financial risks (commodity price fluctua-tions, currency risks), and implement risk management strategies. • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders, preparing finan-cial reports and insights for senior management. • Lead the optimization of financial systems and processes across the group to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development within team environment.
