Description:
- Hire Resolve’s client, a leading Managing Agent in the Western Cape with a well-established reputation for delivering exceptional property management services since 1968, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting function for a diverse portfolio of approximately 30 residential and commercial property clients. - Import and reconcile bank statements
- Receipt debtors and process debtor payments
- Manage creditor payments
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Billing of debtors and assist Debtors Clerk with reconciliations
- Post special and correction journals
- Prepare and compile monthly management packs
- Calculate and recover monthly utility charges
- Conduct municipal account reconciliations
- Handle invoice runs and statement generation
- Oversee cash flow management
- Assist with annual audits
- Prepare and present annual budgets
- Present financials at Annual General Meetings
- Execute debit order runs
- Reconcile suspense and control accounts
- Manage annual accruals
- Prepare levy clearance certificates and closing journals
- Submit VAT & PAYE returns
- Update and maintain tenants’/owners’ information
- Perform ad hoc accounting duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accountant or 3 years’ experience as an Article Clerk
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting/Finance)
- Experience within the property industry (advantageous)
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple portfolios and meet strict deadlines
- Strong customer focus
- Clear, effective communication skills
- Highly organized and structured approach
- Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player with strong attention to detail
