Senior Bookkeeper
Knysna, WC + Plett, WC
R20 000 – R25 000 (Depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Senior Bookkeeper looking for a dynamic and professional work environment? Our client, a well-established firm in Knysna, is seeking a skilled individual to manage multiple client accounts and oversee bookkeeping up to trial balance level.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions up to trial balance
Prepare and submit VAT returns, EMP201, and EMP501 submissions
Process payroll and ensure UIF & WCA compliance
Maintain an up-to-date asset register
Work across multiple accounting software platforms (Xero, Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
Handle multiple client accounts efficiently
Manage time effectively in a professional, time-based service environment
Communicate professionally with clients, providing clear and timely updates
What You’ll Need:
Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
Strong knowledge of financial reporting & compliance
Experience with Xero, Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel
Ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously
Excellent time management & organizational skills
Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) – Strong communication skills required
Relevant certifications or diploma in bookkeeping/accounting (advantageous)
Prior experience in a professional services firm (advantageous)
