Description:
· Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
· Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.
· Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
· Preventing cross-contamination.
· Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
· Taking orders from waiters, labelling items, portioning food, and regulating grill temperature.
· Managing inventories and operating and cooking using the grill equipment.
· Plating the food items and preparing the items needed to keep in the grill.
· Cleaning the grill before and after use.
· Keeping the kitchen in a good hygienic condition, cleaning as you go and deep cleaning equipment.
· Receiving stock and packing in FIFO into storeroom.
· Assisting where operationally required within the restaurant.
· Must be willing to work flexible hours
. Earnings R3500 to R5000 depending on experience
