If so, our client a prominent player in the services sector within the logistics industry is looking for YOU to join their finance team as a Senior Accountant at their Johannesburg North offices

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be entrusted with more than just balancing the books: You'll take charge of key financial operations and play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making.

Duties:

• Leading the monthly VAT reconciliation process and ensuring accurate submissions to SARS.
• Working closely with the Finance Manager to fulfil all statutory and compliance requirements.
• Managing and processing a variety of monthly journals - including recurring entries - with precision and efficiency.
• Steering the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal timelines and international accounting standards.
• Conducting meticulous reviews and reconciliations of all general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and drive improvements.

  • Qualifications:
  • A Technical Accounting Degree, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience:
• 4 to 5 years hands-on accounting experience, with strong trial balance proficiency.

Proficiency in accounting software and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
