Take ownership of multi-entity accounting in a corporate financial environment as a Senior Accountant, where your expertise will support reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. A dynamic and well-established company in the financial services sector is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage the accounting records across various group entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and statutory compliance in a fast-paced, credit-driven environment.
As the Senior Accountant , you will report directly to the Financial Manager and be responsible for maintaining financial records to financial statement level. You will oversee daily and monthly accounting functions including reconciliations, creditor payment processing, general ledger analysis, intercompany transactions, VAT submissions, and audit preparation. This is a hands-on role that demands strong accounting, tax, and compliance skills paired with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Degree in Financial Accounting (Honours advantageous).
- 5 – 7 years' accounting experience in a corporate and credit environment .
- Strong reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax knowledge .
- Experience working with SAGE, Accpac, or similar ERP systems .
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
