About the Role
As the Executive Manager Engineering Services, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and manage engineering services in alignment with approved business plans and engineering standards. Your role involves shaping strategy, optimizing operations, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual strategic planning and oversee departmental projects. Manage the budgeting process in line with National Treasury guidelines and monitor expenditures. Develop and maintain the departmental risk profile and implement cost-control measures. Drive revenue growth through innovative business opportunities. Secure and manage raw water licenses with DWS to meet supply demands. Foster strong stakeholder relationships and oversee performance reporting. Spearhead CAPEX and OPEX budgeting for cost-effective project execution. Identify and execute capital projects, including feasibility studies and design commissioning. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and ethics codes. Oversee departmental policy development aligned with industry standards.Your Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background: Degree in a relevant Engineering field (NQF Level 8). Registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist with ECSA is mandatory. Required Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the water and wastewater sectors. At least 5 years in a senior managerial role. Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulation, and Water Services Act.Why Join Us?
