A Senior Accountant opportunity in a leading a Financial Team that makes a difference! A well-established organization is looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing consolidated financial management accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the Finance Manager with audit planning and execution. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage financial deadlines and contribute to the company’s financial integrity and growth.Other duties include:
- Collating, processing, and reconciling finance accounts.
- Preparing and submitting monthly VAT reconciliations.
- Overseeing month-end closure and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Reviewing and reconciling financial general ledgers.
- Preparing detailed variance analysis for financial and management reports.
- Assisting with the finalization and review of reports prepared by the Corporate Finance Team.
- Co-managing external and internal audits alongside the Finance Manager.
Education:
- Completed BCom Degree
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 4 to 5 years of Accounting experience to Trial Balance.
- Strong consolidations and Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of RSA Financial Statutory and Tax requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure, with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
