Description:
Media 24 is looking for a digitally savvy content producer to join our award-winning internal communications team.
About the role:
The successful candidate will work on the cutting edge of internal communications and employee engagement, servicing a prominent player in the financial services sector.
The position requires a capable and creative problem-solver who’s curious about the world of work, tech and wellbeing. The ideal candidate is switched on to trends in audio-visual and social storytelling, with experience conceptualising and scripting videos and podcasts.
You will be required to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and will report into the editor.
What you would need to have:
- Fluent skills in English: written and spoken
- Additional African languages are a plus
- A working knowledge of most Microsoft and Adobe software is a must
- Experience working in a WordPress CMS or editing basic html is a plus
- A healthy respect for platform best practices and editorial quality control processes
- A tertiary understanding of data analysis and the ability to extract insights from statistics
- Social media smarts and ESN (enterprise social network) experience would be beneficial
- A writer who thinks visually – how will this copy work in an animated video or infographic?
- Ability to manage several briefs/projects at once and turn work around quickly and cleanly
- Attention to detail and the confidence to ask questions
What you would do:
- Research, write and repurpose content for a range of digital channels, according to briefs from editor/deputy editor
- Find newsworthy story leads that resonate with our audience
- Support the team in delivering exceptional client service through creative expertise and problem-solving skills
- Participate in content brainstorms and planning meetings
- Actively pitch ideas for stories, treatments and campaigns to editor/deputy editor
- May be required to manage uploads according to requirements
- Adhere to file naming, packaging and saving conventions to help maintain an effective content archive
- Ad hoc tasks
- Develop creative internal communication solutions with editorial team
- Brief creative to the art director and videographer
