Reports to: Marketing Operations Manager
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (9:00 -17:00 UK hours for full-time)
Salary: R15 000 - R30 000 (Negotiable, based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a creative, proactive, and driven Content & Social Media Manager to join our growing team. This role offers flexibility that is ideal for either a full-time professional or a mature, experienced candidate looking for a part-time (3 days per week) opportunity.
You will take ownership of our content calendar, craft engaging written content across channels, and manage our brands presence on social media. You'll collaborate closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and wider commercial team to shape our content strategy, enhance SEO, support campaigns, and bring our brand voice to life across key platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality content including blog posts, case studies, product copy, landing pages, and email campaigns
- Manage a content calendar aligned with broader marketing and business objectives
- Identify and develop content opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Brief and manage freelance writers or agencies as needed
- Work with SEO and digital partners to define keyword targets and performance benchmarks
- Contribute to email marketing and paid campaign copywriting
Social Media Management
- Lead and implement our social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Plan and schedule content using Buffer, Hootsuite, or native scheduling tools
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and DMs in line with brand tone and guidelines
- Track performance metrics and suggest improvements based on insights
Campaign Support
- Support marketing campaigns with original content and social media activation
- Repurpose and tailor content for specific audiences such as solicitors, estate administrators, and direct consumers
- Ensure brand consistency across organic and paid media channels
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in content creation or social media (agency or in-house)
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a strong portfolio
- Proven experience growing brand presence on LinkedIn and other social platforms
- Interest in financial services or consumer-facing industries
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Search Console
- Familiarity with regulated or sensitive industries (legal, financial, healthcare)
- Experience with WordPress, Salesforce, and Pardot or other marketing automation systems
