Description:
This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of luxury destinations, accommodations, and experiences, particularly in Southern and East Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing tailor-made itineraries, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring seamless travel arrangements while upholding the highest standards of service and attention to detail.*This position is based in either, Johannesburg or Cape Town
Candidate requirements:
- Matric certificate with maths (minimum standard grade or above) and a tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality
- 4-5 years of experience at a senior level in inbound travel
- Experience handling customer relationships and developing or promoting products and services in the luxury travel industry
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage
- Proven English literacy, with European language skills being an advantage
- Working knowledge of TourPlan and Wetu or similar booking/operating systems
- Strong product knowledge of Southern and East Africa, particularly Tanzania and Kenya
- Personal or educational travel experience in the region
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple demands, and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines
- Team player with good follow-up skills and the ability to interface with various departments
- Professional, results-driven, and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Self-starter with high energy levels and a proactive approach to problem-solving
