Production Cook

Somerset West - A ready meal manufacturer who is committed to delivering high-quality, delicious, and nutritious meals to their customers is seeking to employ a Production Cook or Production Chef to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, be comfortable using industrial kitchen equipment and understand food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook large-scale batches according to set recipes
• Operate commercial cooking equipment (tilt skillets, stock pots, industrial mixers)
• Ensure consistent quality and portion control
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with meal packaging, portioning and production workflow

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in batch cooking, catering, or food production
• Ability to follow standardised recipes and meet high consistency standards
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations and food safety protocols
• Physical capability to lift 25kg and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• HACCP certification or food manufacturing experience (Preferred but not a requirement)

• Structured, stable hours (Typically 8am-5pm) / No late or weekend shifts
• On the job training
• Starting date: As soon as possible
