Our client in the agricultural industry, situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch (between Kraaifontein and Klapmuts) currently has the above position available for a dedicated individual with excellent administrative, financial, and written and verbal communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership, can work independently, and has a keen eye for detail.The Accountant will manage a team of administrative personnel, report directly to the CEO, and be responsible for the daily administrative and bookkeeping functions up to trial balance. These responsibilities include:
*debtors and creditors *cash books *journals *wages *VAT *asset register and depreciation *HR administration and reporting *financial reporting *liaison with suppliers *yearend procedures *all other functions associated with this position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant B. Comm (or equivalent) degree;
• At least 5 years’ experience in the full bookkeeping function within an SME environment;
• Excellent computer proficiency;
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
