Description:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing group finance operations within a large, complex organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the group consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the entire organization.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and group policies.
- Manage the groups Shared Services function, streamlining processes, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Partner with senior management in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans for the group.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial performance across subsidiaries, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all inter-company transactions are reconciled and adjustments are made.
- Drive the implementation and maintenance of group-wide finance systems and best practices to standardize processes.
- Liaise with Auditors, Tax Consultants, and other third parties to facilitate smooth audits and resolve any issues.
- Develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team.
Key Requirements:
- CA(SA).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in group finance, with a focus on group consolidations and Shared Services, in a manufacturing or large corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, group reporting, and international accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex consolidation processes across multiple subsidiaries.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a finance team.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
