Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer to provide both frontline support and behind-the-scenes technical services. The successful candidate will assist in managing IT infrastructures, securing networks and systems, supporting end-user devices, and delivering exceptional help desk services.
This is a varied role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, has a passion for IT security, and is committed to continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management & Security
•Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring uptime and optimal performance.
•Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
•Implement and monitor network security protocols to guard against cyber threats.
•Install, configure, and maintain both physical and virtual servers.
•Manage regular patching, updates, and backup strategies.
•Contribute to disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Threat Detection & Incident Response
•Deploy and manage threat detection tools (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems).
•Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
•Execute incident response procedures and perform root cause analysis post-incident.
End-User & Device Support
•Support and manage a range of devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
•Install and manage software applications and licenses (incl. Microsoft 365).
•Track IT assets and maintain inventory systems.
•Manage and support 3G devices and VOIP systems.
Help Desk Services
•Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
•Resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for end-users.
•Deliver both remote and on-site technical assistance as needed.
•Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and processes.
Requirements
Desirable:
•Proven experience in IT support or infrastructure management.
•Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices.
•Experience with Windows Server environments and virtualisation technologies (e.g. Hyper-V or VMware).
•Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and license administration.
•Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-oriented mindset.
•Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

•B.SC(Engineering)
•Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Securi
