Description:
An IT company based in Parktown has a vacancy available for an Infrastructure Engineer (Server & Storage) to join their IT team.
The ideal candidate needs to have at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience with MS Server & Storage in a highly virtualized environment.
This is a permanent in-house position with a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installing, designing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and configuring hardware and software and offering user support.
- Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
- Support administration of servers and server clusters.
- Manage all system back-up and restore protocol.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems.
- Documents infrastructure problems and resolution for future reference.
- Monitors system performance.
- Implements performance tuning.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam in a large user environment.
- Implement standards and policies.

- In-depth knowledge of administering servers and support networks and infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge and experience managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a highly virtualized environment (Veeam, VMWare)
