Brand Communications Manager (Pinelands, Cape Town)The Intelligent Debt Management (IDM) Group, South Africa’s largest and multi-award winning debt management company, has a position available for a Brand Communications Manager.
This individual will join the Marketing Team and will be accountable for (but not limited to) developing and executing PR strategies, enhancing brand reputation, ATL marketing and ensuring consistency across
upper funnel channels.
Role responsibilities:
- PR Agency management:
- Overseeing the relationship and performance of the PR agency
- Developing and executing PR strategies to enhance brand reputation
- Managing media relations and press releases
- Participating in radio/TV interviews (if needed)
- Upper funnel channel strategy:
- Developing and executing brand awareness campaigns on YouTube, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and other relevant platforms
- Defining target audiences and creating engaging content strategies
- Analysing campaign performance and optimising for reach and impact
- ATL marketing:
- Planning and executing traditional advertising campaigns (TV, radio, print, out-of-home)
- Working with creative agencies to develop compelling advertising materials
- Ensuring brand consistency across all ATL channels
- Brand strategy:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of overall brand strategy
- Ensuring brand consistency across all marketing and communication activities
- Monitoring brand health and conducting market research
- Budget management:
- Managing budgets for PR, digital advertising, and ATL campaigns
- Tracking expenses and ensuring efficient resource allocation
Candidate profile:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in brand management, PR, and digital marketing
- Experience working with PR and other agencies
- A strong understanding of upper funnel marketing strategies
- Experience in ATL marketing (optional)
- Experience with social media platforms and YouTube
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Project management and organisational skills
- Budget management experience
- Good understanding of data to measure campaign effectiveness, understand audience behaviour, and optimise strategies for improved ROI.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages a plus
